Bubble Shooter

Aim and shoot colored bubbles to match 3 or more in this satisfying hex-grid puzzle.

Overview

The launcher rotates, a dotted line traces the bank shot off the wall, and the cluster you were aiming at peels away. Bubble Shooter is an aim-and-shoot puzzle built on a hex grid, where every shot fires a colored bubble up toward a field of other bubbles and any group of three or more of the same color pops together. The hex layout matters more than it first appears, because it changes which neighbors a bubble sticks to and lets you set up chains that clear in sequence. A trajectory preview shows where your shot will land, including the bounces off the side walls, so the harder bank shots are a matter of aim rather than guesswork. A new row of bubbles is added every eight shots, which means slow play is gently punished, and a preview of your next bubble lets you plan one shot ahead. Cleared clusters also drop any bubbles left dangling without a connection to the top, which turns a careful shot into a much bigger clear than the match alone.

How to Play

Aim with the mouse and click to fire. Move the pointer to set the angle, and a dotted trajectory line shows the path your bubble will take, including any bounces off the side walls. Click to release the shot. On a touchscreen, drag to aim and tap to fire. The catalog lists no dedicated keyboard aiming, so control is by mouse or touch only. Match three or more bubbles of the same color to pop them, and any bubbles left unconnected to the top of the grid fall away with them. Keep an eye on the next-bubble preview so you do not waste a color you will need on the following shot.

Tips & Strategy

Use the walls. The trajectory preview shows bank shots clearly, and a steep bounce into a pocket of matching color is often the only way to reach bubbles walled off behind other colors. Plan two shots at a time using the next-bubble preview: if your current bubble is blue and the next is red, look for a blue cluster to clear now and a red target for the follow-up, rather than firing blue into the only easy opening and stranding the red. Watch for orphan clusters, because when you pop a group, anything that loses its grip on the top of the grid falls for free, so the highest-value shot is often the one that disconnects a big dangling chunk rather than the obvious three-match. Every eighth shot adds a new row, so do not hoard colors waiting for the perfect opening; the grid does not wait, and a careful plan loses its value when the ceiling drops.
