Sports on SonoTap currently centers on Curling Lab: a stone-placement game with twelve obstacle challenges and a local alternating two-player mode. Choose it for deliberate aiming, collision experiments and repeatable shots on ice.

Read the ice before throwing

Curling Lab gives you a stone, a direction and a power choice. Drag backward from the stone and release to throw; the visible trajectory and power meter help you compare one attempt with the next. With a keyboard, use the arrow keys to adjust aim and power, then Space to release. R resets and N moves to the next challenge. Touch uses the same drag-and-release gesture, so you can line up a shot without an external keyboard.

The important decision is where the stone should finish, not simply whether its initial line points toward the house. Friction slows movement, existing stones obstruct lanes, and contact can redirect either stone. Before releasing, identify the nearest obstacle and decide whether your plan needs a clear lane or an intentional collision. A low-power placement and a forceful clearing shot solve different problems.

Practice one variable at a time

Start by keeping the direction fixed while changing power. Watch whether the stone stops short or crosses the target, then adjust the next attempt in the corresponding direction. Once you understand the distance, experiment with a small angle change. Altering both settings at once makes it harder to tell which choice helped. The physics uses a fixed simulation step, making repeated setups useful for controlled comparison rather than relying on a lucky bounce.

Choose a challenge or share the device

Use the twelve challenges when you want an obstacle-based problem with a clear setup. Try local alternating play when two people want to take turns on the same device; this is not an online matchmaking queue. Guards and crowded houses reward patience: a stone that blocks a useful lane can matter even when it does not finish closest to the center. Review the resulting positions before the next throw, and keep a route open for the shot you intend to play afterward.
